Abstract
This manual isn?t meant to be a definitive reference, but a basic tool of consultation to know and better understand our socio-natural environment. It has to be considered as an unspecialized source of information and a source of general knowledge about the Canary ecosystem, the ?insular fact? and the biodiversity, the awareness for the conservation of natural heritage, the landscapes and human activities, the most recent economic and political framework, and, finally, the culture and the sources of study.
