This publication reflects the work of the several groups that make up Rovira i Virgili University with their participation in the seminar «La URV davant l’EEES: reflexió conjunta per a una estratègia de futur» (URV in the EHEA: combined reflection for a future strategy) 22-24 November 2005. The text gives a vision of the process of adjustment to the European Higher Education Area from a point of view of the different sensitivities that make up the URV community with the contrast of a highly prestigious external reference. This study may be a tool to provide elements that direct the strategy for improving teaching quality in our university, at the same time providing the generation of ideas for reflection in other university contexts.
