  • Before the Cairo Genizah's discovery, only seven words were known with certainty to have been written by Moses Maimonides. The Genizah has since yielded dozens of leaves in his own hand: drafts of the Guide for the Perplexed, responsa, personal letters, medical notes, and administrative documents.
